New at Simitri - Risk in Business Training Module

NEW AT SIMITRI - JUNE 2021

Learning vs Upskilling

Traditionally, Compliance and Risk culture has been deployed by organisations via eLearning methods, listen and tick the box for annual certification, largely used to remind employees of their obligations.

The problem with this approach is that eLearning is defined as just learning, it focuses on the transfer of information rather than the application and impact of that knowledge. It is characterised as the listen and learn approach.

More organisations are moving towards upskilling, meaning the transfer of the knowledge into practical actions with the desire to bring positive change. When employees apply knowledge to address specific issues, they are using skills.

Live Virtual Training is becoming more popular among businesses for important topics such as Risk Management and Personal Data Protection. In doing this, they are taking advantage of the highly interactive instructor-led training which utilises the many opportunities to immediately apply the learning through role-play and relevant scenarios.

Develop good eating habits: You need nutrients to boost your immune system and give you energy.

Drink lots of water: The link between water and stress reduction is well documented. All our organs, including our brains, need water to function properly.

Perform physical activity: It helps to boost the production of the brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters: endorphins. It may also act as meditation in motion as you forget the day’s irritations and concentrate on your body’s movement.

Get enough sleep: Use aromatherapy to relax the body, meditation or prayer to quiet the mind, and breathing exercises to activate the body’s natural sleep processes. Most importantly, plan ahead and give yourself permission to put work aside and just go to bed.
